We just got word from Senator Glassman's office that we have hearing dates for the Senate and House bills. (listed on the right side of this page)
Senate Bill hearings will be on Tuesday February 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM
House Bill hearings will be on Wednesday February 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM
To give testimony in person you need to be present and signed in by 12:40 PM |

2.) Print copies of the documents and get signatures
3.) Fax the documents to the Senate 410-841-3115 and the House 410-841-3202
Senate Bills:
The hearings are in the Miller Senate Building 2 West (2nd floor).
To give written testimony it must be faxed to Senator Glassman's office at 410-841-3115. Written testimony needs to be presented by 12:40 as well with 20 copies. The Senator's office will make the copies for you but please give them plenty of time. Please take time NOW to put your testimony in writing and fax it so there is no undue stress placed on the office in the remaining work to get it ready to present.
House Bills:
The hearings are in the Environmental Matters in the Lowe House Office Building, 250 which is across the street from the Senate.
You can fax your written comment for the bills.....each one separate to Delegate Riley's office and they will make the copies and have them in on time. Fax them to: 410-841-3202 attention: Valerie Sedwick
If you are going to give written comment please do so immediately so Delegate Riley's office has plenty of time to make the copies and have things prepared to be submitted on time.
These bills are a statewide initiative that will protect all state parks in Maryland. We are in the final push here...please stay involved and take time to support these bills. This will set precedent that will enable us to further protect our state parks in other situations that may arise in the future.

Contact your representatives and ask them to stop this proposal!
